I think I'm going to try to participate in the Snowflake Challenge this year. I'll no doubt miss some days, and do others out of order, but it looks like a lot of fun! I'll post something for day 1 on the weekend, right now I'm in a reccing mood :)

Fandom: So many fests, so little time. Things I wish I had time to enter, but know I won't be able to: hp_goldenage and mini_fest. Especially Golden Age :( I also wish I could help out by pinch-hitting for snapecase, but it doesn't seem feasible. EDIT: It's still not very feasible, but I am nonetheless pinch hitting for Snapecase :D I'm happy with the initial Snapecase fic I submitted though, and I also can't wait to read all the Snarry Swap entries! ♥

Random: Earlier this week, school students around Australia staged a protest on climate change issues, asking the government to take climate scientists seriously. Our Prime Minister responded by saying they shouldn't be skipping school, and I thought this poster at the rally was nicely on point :)

I'm still figuring out Dreamwidth, and miss all the html codes being second nature! I used to be obsessed with icons/userpics, and found a stash of thousands of them on an old laptop, all saved in neatly organised folders and properly credited :D I uploaded a bunch yesterday but neeeed more...

So... I signed up for the HP Creatures fest, despite almost never reading creature!fic, because I fell in love with this prompt. It was a difficult story to write (it's pretty heavy on the angst), but after lots of help from three absolutely wonderful beta readers, antuhsa acid and perverse_idyll, I ended up quite happy with the result.
It was my first ever fest entry, so I hope you enjoy it! ♥

Author's Notes: This was inspired by 'Soft Touch' by the incredible perverse_idyll, who was generous enough to let me write this. It is an unofficial prequel; my take on what might have led Snape to where he is in that story. I designed it to be as compatible as possible with the original, even though it may not appear that way at first glance :)
